Mission Outreach

Galilean Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Our four missionaries that we support are located here in West Virginia, Santiago, Chile, South Africa, and the Philippines. We pray daily for them and seek to meet their needs in any way we are able. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Bibles International

November 18, 2012 will be Bible Sunday during our morning worship service. We will be giving thanks for the Bible God has provided for us. Bibles International is a ministry that is translating the Bible into other languages. Pastor Amundson has represented them in the past. If you would like to contribute a financial gift to help in their translations of the Scriptures, please designate it in your offering.

Pregnancy Resource Center

http://prcmc.org/

The Pregnancy Resource Center has been reaching out to women facing unplanned pregnancies since 1994. We are committed to helping those who find themselves in situations lacking support, help or encouragement. We also strive to offer factual and helpful information and resources to empower women to make informed decisions  concerning pregnancy.  Our Center also provides additional community resources and referrals when necessary.

Prayer Requests

Updated Prayer List: March 19, 2013

I want to give God praise for all the answered prayers for our clients and the PRC.

Our client, who has had around the clock help since bringing home 15day old baby boy, has had several hours alone time with him and last night, he slept in her room with her doing the whole night without help. Major progress. She is getting stronger every day!   We had another healthy baby boy delivery Monday night also!
PRAYER NEEDED NOW: Baby J was was born last month and transferred to Pittsburg is having surgery to remove the mass on his lung at 10:45 this morning. His mom is our client and also Margie’s niece. Please keep him lifted up.
I would also appreciate your prayers for all of the opportunities opening up for the Center now. We believe God is preparing us for a new season of growth. Melissa and I spoke at Baptist Temple last night, shared information about the Center and Melissa shared her testimony. The ladies were touched and we were blessed by the evening. Tomorrow night, I’ll be sharing at Monongah Baptist and there are 2 more engagements in 2 weeks. Pray for open ears and receiving hearts as we share the ministry with them.
Giving Him glory,
Mia

Updated Prayer List: March 6, 2013

“Every good and perfect gift comes from above” James 1:17Yesterday at 1:15 p.m. a miracle was born.  He is beautiful and healthy.  Please pray for him and his mom as they begin a new season together.  She is still in need of loving women to come and spend time with her so she will not be alone in these first few weeks or months.  If any of you feel called to help in this way, please call me as soon as possible.  She has a cousin staying until Sunday, then no other family to help.  Thank you all so much for your prayers!!

Update on client whose baby was sent to Pittsburg:  Mom and baby are now together at hospital, and baby is doing much better.  Keep praying complete for health.

We also had a client relinquish custody of her 1 year old son last week.  She is going to attempt to get her life in order, to be a better parent.  Please pray she does, and for the family that has guardianship of her baby.

Thank you all so much!!

Mia
