Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
I was born in Binghamton, NY but we moved to TN when I was 4. My grandfather– my mother’s father– was there directing the Bancroft Gospel Ministry, which included a summer Bible Camp. i learned about the Gospel from his life and his ministry. I was saved at age 13 after a week at camp and the following year began to study the Bible. After high school, I went to the Appalachian Bible College for a 1-year certificate in Bible. It was there I met Jennifer. After ABC, I transferred to Berea College, graduating in 1985. I had planned to go on the mission field, but kidney failure changed my plans. Jennifer and I got married and I attended the University of Tennessee to get my PhD in political science. I have been involved with church work most of my adult life, teaching Sunday School, children’s’ church and children programs. We came to Galilean when I took a position at WVWC because this is the church Jennifer grew up in and we were led to participate in various ministries. We are happy to find a home and friends here.
